The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Borno and Yobe States Chapter, donated large quantities of drugs and medical consumables to support the ongoing cholera outbreak response in affected communities across Borno State.
The AANI delegation was led by Distinguished Dr Bulama Mali Gubio mni and supported by other distinguished members of the association.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Borno State Government, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Dr Shettima Maina Mohammed mni, accompanied by directors and members of the State Cholera Response Team, expressed the profound gratitude of the government and people of Borno State for the timely humanitarian intervention.
He assured the delegation that the donated drugs and medical consumables would be promptly distributed to the identified cholera hotspot communities to support ongoing response efforts and help save lives.
