Chadian referee Alhadji Allaou Mahamat will officiate the Super Eagles’ 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 1 clash against Madagascar’s Barea.
The 40-year-old referee has handled several CAF competitions, including the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and African Nations Championship.
Mahamat is also an experienced official on the African football scene, having taken charge of matches across various CAF competitions.
Mahamat officiated two Super Eagles matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
He was at the centre when Nigeria hosted the Wasps of Rwanda and also officiated the away fixture against Lesotho in South Africa.
Nigeria won both games 1-0 and 2-1, respectively.
The Super Eagles will host Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday.
