Super Falcons, on Thursday, congratulated goalkeeper Nnadozie Chiamaka and head coach Justine Madugu after the duo were nominated for awards by France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d’Or awards, ahead of the 2025 edition in Paris next month.
Chiamaka and Madugu were the only Nigerians included in the nomination shortlists published on Thursday.
Chiamaka was nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy.
The 24-year-old Brighton star will battle the likes of Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Hannah Hampton, and Daphne van Domselaar for the award.
Madugu, meanwhile, was nominated for Women’s Coach of the Year after he led the Super Falcons to their 10th Women’s African Cup of Nations, WAFCON, in July.
He will battle Sonia Bompastor, Arthur Elias, Renée Slegers and Sarina Wiegman for the award.
