Tinubu, who addressed delegates at the Government House, Maiduguri, Monday evening, noted that insecurity needs a smart person to handle it and he is obviously smarter than all the other candidates of the APC.

He said he is a better candidate for the job of Commander in Chief because he doesn’t have a double mind about the indivisibility of this country.

“I can tell you that when it comes to insecurity, I am smarter than most of them. I believe that it is only Nigeria we have. We don’t have another country to move into so I don’t believe anyone will divide it or eliminate us.” Said the former Governor of Lagos State.

He called on delegates to reframe from doubting the very existence of the country especially now that the nation is going through trying times.

“God sometimes tests us for us to understand that he is still available and in charge. So you must understand that He is the giver of power and will give to anyone he wills.

” Let me assure you that we will eliminate poverty in the country as much as possible if elected. We will not behave like those who neglected security and gave us banditry and insurgency and now they want to Come back. Will we allow them? Capital No!

Earlier Governor Zulum assured the aspirant that 95 percent of the delegates are loyal to former Governor Kashim Shettima who is the arrow head of the campaign of the Jagaban Borgu.

Reeling out his demands however, Zulum requested that if the national convention favours Senator Tinubu he should please appoint, senator Kashim Shettima as his Vice Presidential candidate against the next general election.

“My first request is for you to kindly consider my mentor, Senator Kashim Shettima as your vice presidential candidate if elected.

“Other requests include good roads and rail connections and many more. I can only assure you of our support in the total interest of Nigeria,” said Zulum.
