The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared Nigeria’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and former NNPCL NUIMS chief, Bala Wunti, as aspirants for the 2027 Bauchi State governorship race.
However, Senator Shehu Buba Umar was reportedly not cleared by the party.
Sources cited security concerns as one of the reasons behind the senator’s exclusion from the clearance process.
