BBNaija S11: Nomy Speaks on Disqualification, Apologises to Fans

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, has apologised to her fans following her disqualification from the reality show.

Nomy was disqualified after repeatedly failing to comply with instructions from Big Brother, bringing her time on the “Show Ya Sef” edition of the reality show to an abrupt end.

Speaking during an X Space on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Nomy said she was overwhelmed by the level of support she received from fans after leaving the house.

The former housemate expressed gratitude to those who stood by her during her time on the show, while also apologising to supporters who felt disappointed by her disqualification.

She said she was unaware of the extent of the support she had garnered outside the house.

“Just hearing that I have an entire nation just makes me so happy. I’m so thankful to each and every one of you. I’m sorry to everyone who I have let down, it wasn’t intentional,” Nomy said.

She added that knowing she had such strong support from viewers would have motivated her to make greater efforts to remain in the competition until the finale.

“If I had known I had this much support and love waiting for me at home, I would have done everything I could to take me to the finale, but I guess it was just meant to work out this way. I’m sorry for letting you down,” she said.

Nomy’s disqualification came after Big Brother ordered her to pack her belongings and leave the house following repeated defiance of his instructions.

Her apology has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some viewers expressing sympathy while others questioned her claim that she was unaware of the level of support she had received.
