BREAKING | Gov. Otti Renames Abia Poly After Late Ogbonnaya Onu | METROWATCH

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has renamed Abia State Polytechnic in Aba after the Late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the first executive governor of Abia state.

This gesture honors Dr. Onu’s legacy and contributions to the state, particularly his role in establishing the polytechnic in 1992.

Governor Otti made the announcement at the ongoing commendation service in honour of the late former Minister at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

Dr. Onu was a highly respected statesman who laid a strong foundation for good governance and democratic principles in Abia State.
