Quashed Impeachment: Court Fixes Oct 24 to Hear Shaibu’s Contempt Suit against Omobayo

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Thursday granted an order directing the imposed deputy governor by Governor Godwin Obaseki to appear before it on 4th November, 2024 or face imprisonment.

Granting the motion ex parte on form 49, in a suit filed by the reinstated Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, Justice Omotosho said Marvelous Omobayo should be served the order through Edo State Government House.

He further directed that failure for him to appear before the court on the stated date, he will be sentenced to prison.
