Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have planted explosives along the Wawa-Lumma road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, destroying a key bridge, damaging four vehicles, and disrupting movement in the area.

The incident was highlighted in a post shared on X on Monday by security analyst Bakatsine, who warned of the growing threats to road users in the region.

According to post, the explosives caused significant structural damage to the bridge, making it impassable and halting traffic along the busy route.

“Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have planted explosives along the Wawa-Lumma way in Borgu LGA of Niger State, destroying a key bridge, damaging four vehicles, and disrupting movement in the area,” Bakatsine wrote.
“Four vehicles caught in the blast area were reportedly damaged, though no casualties have been confirmed at this time.”
