Defection: APC Assures Gov Eno of Full Support

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has pledged full support and cooperation for Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.

The National Vice-Chairman (South-South) of the party, Victor Giadom, gave this assurance in a statement on Monday as he welcomed the governor and other members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who defected to the party.

According to him, Governor Eno’s decision to join APC was not only timely but also a strategic move that will foster greater synergy with the Federal Government and unlock more social and economic opportunities for the accelerated development of Akwa Ibom State.

“President Bola Tinubu’s bold and unprecedented policy reforms implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda have continued to draw massive appeal among leaders and people of the South-South region who are keen to work with Mr President and our great party for the full actualisation of the agenda for the progress of the region and the country,” Giadom said.

He further assured the governor and his teeming followers of a massive electoral victory in the zone come 2027.
