(PRESS RELEASE)
PDP’S PLANNED PROTEST: CAUTION IS THE WORD
We have just been reliably informed of the plans by agents of the PDP to cause a breach to public order, telling their members to assemble at the Ring Road and the Museum Ground to protest the outcome of the Edo election.
While it is their right to protest publicly, they should be made to understand that the law will take its full course in the event that Governor Obaseki decided to burn down Edo State.
We have however cautioned our supporters to be mindful of the painful emotions of defeat which the PDP might be going through now, and be magnanimous in victory, and as such, show some level of empathy with them.
While we salivate with the oleaginous paeans of praise at the sweet victory of this electoral contest, as Edo people, we share in the aspirations of all, including members of the PDP and other political parties that participated in the election.
Senator Monday Okpebholo will be Governor for all without discrimination.
He will unite Edo people and create opportunity for all to pursue their legitimate and collective aspirations without let or hindrance.
Stay away from trouble. Stay away from being agents of destruction of our collective destinies. Edo, okpa ma khin!
