The Edo Muslim Youths Advocacy Initiative has commended Gov. Monday Okpebholo of Edo over the appointment of Malam Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government.
The coordinator of the pressure group, Alhaji Saheed Mahmud gave the commendation in a congratulatory message on Saturday in Benin.
According to him, members of the initiative are confident that the tenure will bring remarkable progress, unity and prosperity to the people of Edo.
“The proven intellectual, dedication and vision of the new Secretary to the State Government, makes him an idea choice for the position and we hope that he will usher in good and strong start.
‘The new SSG has consistently demonstrated that he has insight and capability to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
“The initiative observes that with Ikhilor in the team, the administration is well position to advance the course of Edo to a greater height,”” he said.
The group said they are confident he would serve in the interest of the people with transparency, efficiency and innovation.
The coordinator, however, urged the new secretary to the state government to demonstrate his expertise and understanding of the state through efficient delivery.
He said this would undoubtedly be valuable to the government’s vision for a brighter and a more prosperous Edo State.
