A fellow of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Prof Udenta Udenta, says former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, should not be kept in perpetuity in detention because of an investigation.
Udenta stated this on Wednesday while responding to questions in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television.
He said they must let El-Rufai be, stressing that the former governor has to be presumed innocent, and they can carry out investigations without him being in custody.
The professor also suggested that they can take El-Rufai’s passport and limit his movements.
“You cannot keep a man in perpetuity in detention because you are doing investigation. That is injustice,” he said.
