Ruben Amorim, Manchester United’s manager, claimed the team struggled to create chances in their 1-1 draw with Wolves on Tuesday night.
Ladislav Krejci scored to ensure Rob Edwards’ side departed Old Trafford with a draw, cancelling out Joshua Zirkzee’s opener.
“We needed more imagination today to create chances,” Amorim told reporters.
“We struggled in the first half trying to steal the ball.
“They put a lot of men in the midfield. We tried but the quality was not there. We need to recover to the next one.”
Amorim’s men go into the New Year in sixth position with 30 points after 19 fixtures.
