Ex-SGF, Lawal Speaks on Ideal Candidate to Become Nigeria’s President

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has claimed that Nigeria’s next president should be a person who will give citizens a sense of belonging.

Lawal was speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television on Monday.

According to him, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is capable of winning the 2027 presidential election.

When asked who the ideal candidate would be to become the next president would be, Lawal listed several requirements.

“Power should go to the person who will give every Nigerian a sense of belonging, a sense of justice.

“It is personal. To the individual – to me and you – how are you living? Is there any environment where your aspirations are achieved? And who can guarantee that environment?

“That is what is most important to each individual Nigerian,” he stated.
