JUST IN | Tinubu’s Minister Nnaji Resigns over Fake Certificate Scandal

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following the recent controversy surrounding allegations of certificate forgery.

Mr. Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation on Monday, October 7, 2025, in a letter to the President, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation.

The Minister stated that he had become the target of political blackmail and had chosen to step aside to allow for a fair and unhindered investigation into the allegations.
