My Dad Doesn’t Accept I’m an Actor, Says Uzor Arukwe

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has revealed that his father is still unaware or unwilling to accept that he is fully into acting.

Arukwe disclosed this in an interview on #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo he spoke about his family’s initial reaction to his career choice.

According to him, while his father has heard about his success in the film industry, he prefers not to believe it.

He also noted that his mother was initially slow to accept his career path due to her husband’s reservations, but eventually came to terms with it.

“My father doesn’t know that I’m an actor, he has heard, but he doesn’t want to believe.

“My mum was slow to adapt because of her husband but she later came around,” he said.

Arukwe has since become one of Nollywood’s notable actors, featuring in several popular films and productions.
