NUJ Mourns Passing of Veteran Journalist Dotun Oladipo

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council mourns the painful loss of an erudite journalist, distinguished media practitioner, and Publisher of Eagle Online, Mr. Dotun Oladipo, who passed away after a brief illness.

Mr Oladipo was a consummate professional whose contributions to journalism and the development of the Nigerian media industry were remarkable and enduring.

Through his years of dedicated service, he demonstrated a deep commitment to the ideals of journalism, professional excellence, truth and public interest.

Beyond his impressive accomplishments as a journalist and publisher, Dotun Oladipo was admired for his wisdom, humility, warmth and cherished character.

He was a dependable colleague, a thoughtful voice and a professional whose presence enriched the journalism community.

His death is a great loss to the NUJ, the Lagos media community and the Nigerian journalism profession.

While we mourn the departure of this distinguished colleague, we take solace in the lasting legacy he leaves behind through his works, mentorship, and service to the profession.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues at Eagle Online, friends, and the entire Nigerian media community.

May God grant his loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant the soul of Mr. Dotun Oladipo eternal rest.

Dotun Oladipo may be gone but his contributions to journalism and the memories of his wisdom and cherished character will remain with us.
