The University of Maiduguri, Borno State, has been thrown into mourning again as a former head of department of business management, Prof Ruth Haruna, has died after her car ran over her.
“She died mysteriously yesterday when her vehicle moved from where she parked and knocked her down while she was opening the gate of her house to drive in at her Polo Residence in Maiduguri”, said a university source.
It was obvious the Professor was coming back from an occasion and wanted to get into her compound without disturbing her husband resting inside and had to open the gate herself.
The entire management of University of Maiduguri was visiting her House in Polo area of Maiduguri as at the time of writing this report.
Just a little  over a month ago, a professor in the department of pharmacy lost his life  after a protracted illness.
