Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu has assured that resources allocated to projects and Programmes by the Governor Monday Okpebholo administration will be judiciously deployed for the good of the citizens of the state.

The Commissioner who gave the assurance in a statement in Benin City, noted that Governor Okpebholo is poised to ensuring that project embarked upon by the government is completed and of immense benefit to the citizens.

“The transformative blue print for Edo State Development, Project SHINE, which stands for Security, Health Care, Infrastructure, Natural Resources and Food Sufficiency and Education will be executed to impact the people positively.

“The Governor is not interested in having a blue print on paper, but transforming it into projects and Programmes that Edo citizens can see, like the Ramat Park fly over and others across the state,” he added.

According to the Commissioner, Edo people are no more going to have a government that claims to have spent billions on Flood and Erosion control for eight years and the problems still persist.

“The Spokesman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chris Nehikhare admitted that the Obaseki administration left extremely formidable project plans and processes for the annual preparation of the state for the flooding that happens every year.

“The question Edo people are asking is that what happened to the huge resources allocated to stop the problem of flooding in the state for eight years.

“From the excuses of Chris Nehikhare, no sustainable solution was embarked upon with the huge sums of money claimed to have been spent on the project.

“But the PDP spokesman and his pay masters are expecting the Governor Okpebholo administration to solve the problems they created in eight years in less than Seven months in office.

” However, the Okpebholo administration will not allow the people to continue to suffer this hardship because the resources now allocated for the project will be judiciously deployed unlike in the past when resources are only deployed on paper,” he added.

While urging the good people of the state to ignore the rantings of the PDP and be patient, Hon Ohonbamu said, the Governor should be praised for deploying the state’s resources judiciously for the good of the society.
