OPINION BY IKHUENBOR IGBINEVBO | My Last Cut on Godwin Obaseki’s Controversial MOWAA

But let me be very clear: silence is how evil succeeds. Silence is how history repeats itself. And I am not one of those who keep quiet when my people are being deceived.

OPINION BY IKHUENBOR IGBINEVBO | My Last Cut on Godwin Obaseki’s Controversial MOWAA

Let me say this once and for all: I am addressing the MOWAA matter for the LAST time before I move on to more urgent governance issues confronting Edo State. But before I leave this chapter, I must speak the truth that too many people are afraid to say.

People have been flooding my phone, begging, advising, and even warning me to “leave MOWAA alone”—that MOWAA is not the real problem of Edo State right now.
I have listened. I understand the sentiment.
But let me be very clear: silence is how evil succeeds. Silence is how history repeats itself. And I am not one of those who keep quiet when my people are being deceived.

Obaseki must come out CLEAN and STOP hiding behind technical grammar.
He must explain the real story behind the Benin Royal Museum and the sudden emergency creation of MOWAA, a project that came from nowhere yet is being forced on the people with arrogance and secrecy.

Anyone who has watched the attached video with sense, not with blind loyalty, knows the truth:
MOWAA is a scam. Period.
A modern, well-packaged replay of what happened in 1897.
The same pattern, the same deception, the same attempt to dispossess Edo people—but this time with pen, paper, and polished English.

And let the world hear this loudly:
The very bloodline that collaborated with foreigners to rob Benin in 1897 is the same bloodline trying to smuggle this new scam into our history today.
You can insult me, you can abuse me, you can cry—you cannot rewrite the truth.

I will not stand aside and watch Edo people get robbed a second time.
I will not pretend not to see what is happening.
I will not dance around the truth because it offends some people.

If defending my people makes me the enemy, so be it.
If speaking the truth puts me on a collision course with powerful interests, so be it.
I would rather die on my feet than bow to a fraudulent agenda built on the bones of our ancestors.

This is my final word on MOWAA—for now.
I am moving on to other critical issues of governance.
But let nobody say they were not warned. The truth is now in the open, and it cannot be buried.
