A physically-challenged woman, Aminat Akinsola, on Saturday expressed happiness over what she called the special treatment given to her while trying to cast her vote in the ongoing governorship election in Osun.
Akinsola, who cast her vote at Ejigbo Ward 4, unit 6, said she was excited by the special attention accorded her owing to her condition.
“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” she said.
Akinsola commended the peaceful process, while expressing the hope that the outcome of the election would reflect the general will of the people of the state.
Meanwhile, the security agents present at the location were seen maintaining law and order by coordinating the arrangements to make it easy for every voter to cast their vote.
Also, young adults were grouped according to their gender to ensure that there was no disruption in the voting process.
