Nigerian businessman, Prince Isaac Fayose has slammed Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke over his decision to align with leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, despite the alleged killing of about 29 of his supporters during the recently concluded governorship election in the state.

Prior to the August 15 election, Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, raised the alarm, alleging that suspected APC thugs had killed members of his party.

But the APC countered the claim, accusing thugs allegedly linked to Adeleke of killing more than 20 of its supporters.

Despite the allegations, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Adeleke the winner of the election.

However, hours after the election, Adeleke met with some APC stakeholders, including President Bola Tinubu, raising concerns among some of his supporters.

Some supporters across the country questioned the motive behind the governor’s new political engagements, expressing regret over having supported him.

Reacting, Fayose, in a post on his official Facebook page, wondered why the governor was now “feasting” with his alleged oppressors.

He said, “29 people died fighting for Adeleke, and the same Adeleke is now with the oppressors. What a country!

“There are counter-allegations from both the APC and the Accord Party. Davido’s father said the APC spent N60 billion, while Ayo Fayose also came out to say that the Accord Party spent N40 billion on the election.

“This means that both parties spent N100 billion on the governorship election. If you shared that N100 billion among the people, do you know how many lives you would touch? And this is taxpayers’ money.”
