The Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has condoled with the people of Ebira Land, over the death of their paramount ruler, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim.
Obi shared a condolence message to his family and the Ebira people on his X handle on Monday.
Ibrahim had ruled the people of Ebiraland since 1997.
The former Anambra State governor said the death of the late monarch has left a vacuum that will be felt both in Ebira Land and the nation at large.
Reacting to the death, Obi wrote, “On behalf of my family, I condole with the entire people of Ebira Land, over the death of their paramount ruler, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim, who had successfully led the people since 1997.
“His death has surely left a vacuum that will be felt both in Ebira Land and the nation.
“As he has gone to be with his maker, I pray God Almighty, to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest.
“May God grant his family, the people of Ebira Land, the government and people of Kogi, the fortitude to bear his loss”.
