The South South Zonal Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, on his conferment of an honorary Doctorate Degree by the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).

In a statement signed by the National Vice Chairman (South South) of the PDP, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, the party described the award as a well-deserved recognition of Wike’s “sterling contributions to the advancement of governance, infrastructural development, and public service in Nigeria.”

“From your trailblazing tenure as Governor of Rivers State to your current national assignment in the FCT, your commitment to excellence has remained unwavering,” the statement read.

“We celebrate you today not only as a leader from the South South, but as a true statesman whose influence transcends regional boundaries. This recognition reaffirms your place in the annals of national greatness.

“Congratulations, Your Excellency. May your path continue to shine brighter as you serve our nation,” Chief Dan Orbih added.
