Yoruba nation freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Igboho, has said President Bola Tinubu spared no effort in making sure that the kidnapped school children and their teachers in Oyo State regained freedom.

Igboho said the government under Tinubu is determined to deal with all forms of criminalities in Nigeria.

The students and staff from Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinele, LA Primary School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, were kidnapped for 56 days before they were saved by a group of security officers on Friday.

However, a statement from Igboho’s Media office praised the Security Chiefs and the Department of State Services, DSS, for their efforts in releasing the children.

Igboho said: “It is also important to praise the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, the military, the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the leaders of all security agencies for their smooth teamwork, which led to the safe release of all the students and their teachers.

“Since the day the students were taken, Tinubu has worked hard to get them back. I want to clearly say and make sure that the government is determined to deal with criminal groups in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, and throughout Nigeria, and there is no doubt about this.

“The federal government will keep working closely with local security groups to fight crime in communities.

“We are fully committed to using all legal ways to make sure farmers and people living in rural areas of the South West have a safe and good environment.”
