Suspected Herdsmen Kill 3 in Imo Community, Police Begins Manhunt

Again suspected herdsmen have killed three road users plying the Agwa, Ejemekwuru and Umuekpu in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State on Wednesday.
A source from the community said the hoodlums were said to have ambushed the road users who were on motorcycle and attacked them .
The source said several other people were also injured from the attack. Recalled that the community have been under avalanche of attack with their neighbour, Amakohia-Ubi in Owerri West Local Government Area.
A hunter and his ten year old son narrowly escaped death at Amakohia-Ubi in their farmland on Tuesday . The suspected herders were said to have inflicted serious matchete cut on the boy’s father before sighting the presence of vigilantes and ran away.
Spokesperson of the State police command, Henry Okoye who confirmed the incident at Agwa said efforts are on top gear to comb the bushes in a bid to apprehending the perpetrators.
“Following the June 4 Agwa incident, CP Aboki Danjuma has activated tactical teams and launched precision operations, including forest combing, to arrest the perpetrators. He assures residents that security has been fortified and investigations are in full swing”. Okoye said.
