Tinubu Approves 50% Discount for Passengers on Nigerian Railway

This is to cushion transportation costs for Nigerians during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

President Bola Tinubu has approved a 50% discount on all passenger train services operated by the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC.

This is to cushion transportation costs for Nigerians during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The president said the discount will take effect from Tuesday, May 26, 2026, until Monday, June 1, 2026.

Passengers travelling on NRC routes across the country under the arrangement will pay half of the existing approved fares within the six days.
