Tinubu Returns to Abuja after European Visit
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja at 9:50 PM Monday, following a nearly two-week working visit to Europe, the Presidency has confirmed.
Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had earlier announced via his verified X handle that the President would return today, and the arrival time was confirmed later.
Tinubu left Nigeria on April 2 for Paris and subsequently traveled to London, maintaining constant communication with government officials and overseeing national affairs, including issuing directives to security chiefs on emerging threats.
His absence was temporary and within the previously communicated timeframe, with governance continuing effectively under his leadership during the period abroad.
During his visit, the President reviewed the progress of his administration’s mid-term reforms and engaged in strategic planning ahead of his second anniversary in office. His return follows the conclusion of the Easter holiday, addressing public concerns amid rising insecurity in parts of Nigeria.
The Presidency had assured Nigerians that governance proceeded without interruption while President Tinubu was away.
