President Bola Tinubu has unveiled plans to build a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
While addressing the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday at the State House Conference Centre, Tinubu instructed the APC National Working Committee (NWC), the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to work together on the project.
“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” Tinubu said.
He directed them to establish a committee responsible for selecting an appropriate location and supervising the construction of the proposed national secretariat.
The party’s current secretariat is located at 40 Blantyre Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
Earlier, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda was officially sworn in as the new National Chairman of the party.
The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and one-time APC governorship candidate in Plateau State was nominated by Governor Hope Uzodimma and seconded by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen.
