Another matrimonial tragedy has exploded in the ancient of Kano following the murder of a 30 year old man  ,Salisu Idris, by his newly wedded bride.

The tragedy, which occurred barely nine days after wedlock saw the new bride, one Saudat stab her husband with a sharp knife in the middle of the night in their home at Farawa quarters in the state capital.

It was gathered that the wedlock, which took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025 was largely as result of an uncommon family pressure, a situation which did not recognise the feelings of the bride towards the groom as at the time of the contract.

Following the tragedy, angry youths of Fararawa town, who could not bear what had happened, had attempted to mob the 18 year old suspect, but were prevented by security operatives.
