Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued 49 travellers from Kano State who were returning from Senegal after attending a Maulud programme following an attempted kidnap incident in Zamfara State.

The rescue was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on Tuesday.

According to the post, the travellers came under attack from suspected kidnappers after their vehicle reportedly developed a fault while they were travelling through the area.

“The troops responded to the incident and rescued all 49 travellers from the suspected kidnappers,” the post revealed.
