Use 18 Hours to Fear Women, Poco Lee Opens up after Release from UK Detention

Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has broken his silence following his release from detention in the United Kingdom, insisting that he did not commit the alleged offence and telling men to spend “18 hours” of their daily lives fearing women.

Poco Lee made the remarks during a video call with social media activist VeryDarkMan, VDM, while speaking about his experience and the support he received during the situation.

“I was being myself, God sees my heart, my only worries out there was my people,” he said.

He said he would have accepted the situation if he had actually committed the alleged offence, but maintained that he did nothing wrong.

“If I to say I do wetin person talk, I for say, Omo I dey suffer for my sins, but as I no do anything, my mind is as pure,” he said.

Poco Lee also thanked Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for standing by him.

“Nobody will probably want to attach themselves with something like this, but for them Burna Boy to stand for me and Rahman Jago.

“Imagine I dey wake up dey see text messages like, Na only you dey this world, why you dey always happy? So I feel like most of them just happy now say something don happen,” he said.

Poco Lee also urged men to be more cautious in their dealings with women, saying they should dedicate much of their daily lives to fearing them.

Poco Lee was previously detained in the UK over allegations of sexual offences and has since been released.
