Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Dr Sam Ogbuku, Thursday flagged off a 2-day conference on food security in the region.
Tagged: “2-day Critical Stakeholders Agenda Setting on Unlocking Agricultural Potential of the Niger Delta”, the event, which is holding at J Signature Hotel, Port Harcourt, is being attended by dignitaries from across the region.
In his opening address, Ogbuku challenged the participants to come out a sharp blueprint that will unlock the region’s agricultural potentials.
He said the call was predicated on the fact that a boisterous agricultural sector would bring in foreign exchange to the states in the region as booming sector would also mean export of produce.
The stakeholders’ conference ends Friday, October 31. It’s being attended by representatives from the nine states that make up the NDDC
