Super Falcons quartet Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie and Chiamaka Nnadozie have been included in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, Best X1.
The Technical Study Group of the competition compiled the selection.
Nnadozie, who was also named best goalkeeper of the competition, kept four clean sheets in Morocco.
She conceded only twice from open play-against Morocco in the final.
Alozie was named best right-back in the competition.
The Houston Dash defender featured in five of Nigeria’s six games in the tournament.
Versatile winger Esther Okoronkwo caught the eye with her trickery and pace.
Okoronkwo registered two goals, and six assists in six outings for Nigeria.
The AFC Toronto star also won two Woman of the Match awards.
Captain Ajibade was named Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
The 24-year-old registered one goal and two assists in Morocco.
Ajibade won three Woman of the Match awards.
