The residents of Kajuru on the 23rd of March went to sleep peacefully not knowing that they will soon get into another state of mourning as several people were wounded and killed including, Rev Mairimi whose wife was abducted and taken into the bush by suspected Fulani bandits last Thursday.

Many others were believed to have been abducted equally by the assailants when they left around the wee hours of Friday morning after committing the atrocities.

But search parties were organized on Saturday morning to fish out corpses and re unite missing families back from the bush.

Until his death, Rev Mairimi was the Pastor of ECWA church Buda 2 Kasua Magani, District Church Council (DCC) in Kajuru council area of Kaduna State.

Attempts at getting the Kaduna state Police Command spokesperson Mohammed Jalige on phone to comment on the matter was futile as at the time of filing this report.

However reliable sources within the ECWA Church said that the wife of the slain Reverend Mairimi was equally abducted in the process of the slaughter of her husband which she obviously witnessed.

“They attacked the community where he’s pastoring, killed him and went away with his wife and son.

” We don’t know if they razed down his Church with 200-300 members at Kajuru a small town in Kaduna in Buda village under kajuru Local Church Council (LCC).

“Top ECWA management of the church were still in shock over the incident but we in Kaduna are praying that the wife is released as soon as possible.” said our source.

The Kaduna state government has also not issued any statement about the matter as at the time of filing this report.

Hundreds of villages have been deserted in southern Kaduna by residents due to lingering torments of mostly foreign bandits who wish to grab their lands by force of arms.
