Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have announced an indefinite adjournment of the Assembly’s sittings.
According to The Nation, the decision was reached during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.
According to reports, this development comes just hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara proposed Wednesday for the re-presentation of the 2025 budget.
The governor’s move was in compliance with the recent Supreme Court judgment mandating him to recognise the pro-Wike lawmakers.
