Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.
Trump was sworn in at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
The day began with Trump and the First Lady, Melania attending services at St. John’s Church, marking the start of the official inauguration activities.
Despite legal hurdles, including an indictment and an FBI raid at his Mar-a-Lago home, Trump’s fans hailed his return to office.
In his inaugural address, the US President said, “the golden age of America starts now.”
Trump said he would end the “weaponisation” of the justice department, wowing that “the scales of justice will be rebalanced”.
