Abeokuta, Ogun State – The South West Public Relations Officer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Comrade Badmus Kilamuwaye Oladayo popularly known as BAKO, joined Muslim faithful and members of his constituency in Abeokuta South to celebrate Eid Fitri on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Speaking to journalists shortly after observing the Eid prayer, Comrade Badmus extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim community and the entire people of his constituency, praying for continued peace, good health, and prosperity.
“I wish my fellow constituents a joyous Eid Mubarak. May we continue to witness many more of this celebration in sound health and happiness,” he said.
Beyond his immediate constituency, Comrade Badmus expressed concern over Nigeria’s economic challenges and called for divine intervention to ease the hardships faced by citizens.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to remain steadfast and hopeful. The current economic difficulties and governance issues have tested our resilience, but I pray for Allah’s mercy to bring relief and blessings to all Nigerians,” he stated.
He further emphasized the importance of unity and collective efforts in addressing national challenges, urging the government to take decisive steps in reviving the economy and improving the welfare of citizens.
“As leaders and stakeholders, we must prioritize the needs of the people. Our government must work towards policies that will alleviate poverty, create jobs, and ensure a better standard of living for all,” he added.
Comrade Kilamuwaye Badmus also used the occasion to encourage the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of compassion, generosity, and unity that Ramadan represents, urging them to extend support to the less privileged in society.
The Eid Fitri celebration in Abeokuta South was marked by prayers, communal feasting, and various activities bringing together people from different backgrounds in a show of unity and festivity.
