Israel will not relent in its ongoing military action against Iran until the regime is pulled down, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed as Operation Roaring Lion entered its second week.
“We have many more targets,” he hinted in a televised speech on Sunday, adding: “We have an organized plan with many surprises to destabilize the regime and enable change.”
Netanyahu said the first week of the war saw the elimination of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, dozens of senior Revolutionary Guard officials, and hundreds of terrorist operatives.
The operation has destroyed government facilities, nuclear infrastructure, military headquarters and bases, weapon factories, missile and drone warehouses, and hundreds of ballistic missile launchers.
“We are doing the same in Lebanon, with crushing attacks on Hezbollah terrorists, Iran’s puppets,” Netanyahu said, urging the Lebanese government to enforce the ceasefire agreement and to disarm Hezbollah.
Reiterating Israel’s resolve to protect its communities and citizens, the premier warned that “Hezbollah’s aggression will bring catastrophic consequences upon Lebanon.”
Netanyahu told Iran’s Revolutionary Guard operatives that they are also in the crosshairs. “Whoever lays down his weapon, no harm will come to him,” he stated. “He who does not will pay the price.”
The PM said Israel was not seeking to divide Iran but to liberate Iran and live in peace with it, stressing that the success of the operation will remove a global nuclear threat and bring peace between both nations.
Netanyahu revealed that countries are turning to Israel for cooperation after Iran’s retaliation, which has affected 12 nations. They see the “weakness and feebleness” of Western leaders, he said.
The prime minister, however, slammed the United Nations for “condemning Israel’s war against Iran’s murderous proxies in Gaza, yet that same UN did nothing in the face of the mass slaughter in Iran.”
“While Khamenei and his murderers slaughtered tens of thousands of Iranian citizens, where was the UN? Where were many countries in the West?” he queried.
Netanyahu noted that many countries in the region and elsewhere have now seen exactly who can be trusted with Israel’s positioning as a beacon of strength and hope.
The leader insists his country will not cease to struggle against the “tyrants” in Iran, but keep on striking them, declaring, “Operation Roaring Lion will continue with uncompromising momentum.”
