Nigerian football legend Austin “Jay-Jay” Okocha has spoken about his relationship with Brazilian great Ronaldinho during their time at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Okocha, who played for PSG between 1998 and 2002, shared his experience of playing alongside the Brazilian, who joined the French club in 2001.
The former Super Eagles captain described Ronaldinho as a talented player and recalled the Brazilian’s development during his time in Paris.
Okocha also opened up on his decision to leave PSG, explaining the factors that influenced his departure from the French club after four seasons.
According to the former midfielder, his decision was largely influenced by his desire for a new challenge and greater playing opportunities.
Okocha eventually joined Bolton Wanderers in 2002, where he went on to become one of the most influential and popular players in the club’s history.
The Nigerian remains highly regarded for his performances during his career, particularly his spells at PSG and Bolton.
