My Big Brother Naija Win Was for All Young Women, Says Mercy Eke

Former Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke, has claimed that her triumph at the 4th edition of the reality show was for “all young women”.

In a recent interview with BellaNaija, Eke insinuated that her victory boosted the morale of women when it comes to reality shows.

She also revealed that she was confident that she was going to be successful on the show.

“I came into the show prepared. I was ready. And when I won the show, I did it for all the young women who have been told that they can’t. I did it for all of us,” she expressed.

Mercy Eke made history in 2019 as the first female winner of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

Since her record-breaking win, two other women have won the show: Phyna in 2022 and Ilebaye in 2023.
