Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has declared that competent leadership is the critical missing component for Nigeria to fulfill its full potential.

On the ‘Elevate Africa Convos’ podcast, Davido stated that Nigeria can thrive but suffers from poor government, which impedes advancement.

“I tell people, if you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere,” Davido stated.

“I just feel the only thing missing is the right leaders to guide us. Once we get that right, I believe there’s nothing that can stop us.”

Daily Sun recalls that Davido recently created controversy by advising Americans against considering relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria, claiming the country’s economy is in “shambles” in a podcast interview.

In another interview with The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido stated that Nigeria lacked real democracy.
