Brig-Gen Jones Arogbofa (rtd), Chief of Staff  (2014 to 2015) to former President Goodluck Jonathan, is dead. He died suddenly in Abuja today at the age of 71 years.

Although the cause of death of the retired senior office is yet unknown, metrowatchonline.com however gathered that the Oka-Akoko, Ondo State-born Arogbofa simply slumped and died.

According Wikipedia, Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa, lived on this planet earth between 10 November 1952 – 10 February 2024).

Arogbofa was was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1973.

He became became chief of staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan and was succeeded by th late Malam Abba Kyari.

After Abba Kyari’s death, Arogbofa made a statement by saying: “You must not embarrass the president in addressing issues. The chief of staff to the president must be trustworthy because the president must rely on the chief of staff and believe that you can’t join hands with others against him. The office is not a piece of cake”

The late General, among his numerous academic qualifications, had a Diploma in Communications Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, USA, a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, USA.

He also had a Masters Degree in Military Arts and Science from the United States Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
