Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems has explained why she cannot date or approach Nigerian male celebrities for a romantic relationship.

Responding to a question from an interviewer at the BET Awards ceremony over the weekend about whether she would approach trending attractive Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye if given the opportunity, Tems stated that because they are both Nigerians, she would not see him in that sense.

The ‘Love Me Jeje’ singer revealed that she is not interested in sexual relationships with other Nigerian superstars, referring to them as “brothers.”

She said, “I know who Maduka Okoye is but I don’t know him personally. I wish I did though. But shooting shots at him, we don’t do that over here.
