Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has raised the alarm over the continued killings in Plateau State.
In a statement on Thursday by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described the killings in the state as coordinated terror attacks.
He blamed the attacks on the collapse of security under President Bola Tinubu.
Atiku said the repeated pattern of attacks in Plateau communities now bears the frightening signature of organised terrorism, warning that the continued cycle of killings has exposed the absence of an effective counterterrorism strategy by the Tinubu administration.
“The violent crises in Plateau State have become an open sore that Nigeria must urgently heal. What is happening is no longer random violence. It is a recurring pattern of coordinated terror attacks against vulnerable communities,” Atiku stated.
He added that, “the people of Plateau State deserve safety, justice, and peace — not endless mourning and empty political rhetoric”.
