The Osun State Police Command has revealed that it has emplaced adequate security arrangements to ensure that this year’s Eid-el Kabir is celebrated peacefully.
The command disclosed that with the announcement, it aimed to re-assure the citizens of the state of the proactive security mechanisms put in place by the Command to guarantee safety of lives and property of the entire citizenry before, during and after this festivity.
Making this known in a statement on Wednesday in Osogbo, the Osun Police Commissioner, CP Mohammed Umar Abba advised the people of the state to be security conscious and comport themselves in accordance with the provision of the law.
The statement issued by Abiodun Ojelabi, the Command Police Public Relations Officer advised the people of the state to, “celebrate the upcoming Eid-El Kabir peacefully and avoid any thing that will jeopardize the relative peace being enjoyed in the state as the Police will decisively deal with anyone found wanting in this regard.”
CP Umar Abba while wishing all Muslim faithfuls and visitors to the state a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celerations also appealed to members of the public to report any suspicious movement, give prompt and useful information to the Police in case of any infraction of the law through the following numbers/social media handle:
