President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the winners of the recent elections held in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the states of Kano and Rivers, describing their victories as a call to serve with humility and dedication.

The elections, conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, covered all six area councils of the FCT, by-elections in the Ahoada East II and Khana II state constituencies of Rivers, and the Kano Municipal and Ungogo constituencies in Kano State.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu urged the newly elected officials to “treat the mandate given by the people as a sacred trust, and serve with patriotism and unwavering dedication.”

He commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for “remarkable achievements in the territory that have translated into political dividends for the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

He further lauded the courage and discipline displayed by all contestants, noting that “democracy is enriched by the vibrancy of participation and healthy competition.”
