A graduate of Chemistry from Federal University Gusau in Zamfara, Ibrahim Yusuf says he makes an average of N300,000 monthly from barber business.
Yusuf, who runs a professional barbing saloon at No 9 Wurna Road Badarawa, Kaduna, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.
“I make an average of N10,000 to N15,000 daily; I know many big people through this business and I am proud of that.”
Yusuf said during his days as a student he used the barbing business to sponsor his education.
“During my higher institution I became independent, I fed, cloth and paid my school fees”, he said
Yusuf said that he started the business at the age of 16 with the support of a friend who motivated him.
Yusuf, who now owns a motorcycle and is planning to get married, said some of the major challenges facing the business is poor electricity supply which could be tackled now by solar power and rechargeable clippers.(. NAN)
